Protecting sensitive information and ensuring the security of online systems is essential to prevent fraud an

Public Cloud Model Cloud Deployment Models

Cloud Deployment Models  1. Public Cloud Model Public Cloud is a type of cloud hosting that allows the accessibility of systems & its services to its clients/users easily. Some of the examples of those companies which provide public cloud facilities are: IBM, Google, Amazon, Microsoft etc. This cloud service is open for use. This type of cloud computing is a true specimen of cloud hosting where the service providers render services to various clients. From the technical point of view, there is least difference between private clouds and the public clouds along with the structural design. Only the security level of depends based on the service providers and the type of cloud clients use. Public cloud is better suited for business purposes for managing the load. This type of cloud is economical due to the decrease in capital overheads. Public Cloud allows systems and services to be easily accessible to general public. The IT giants such as Google, Amazon and Microsoft offe

Cloud Computing Technologies. There are certain technologies working behind the cloud computing platforms making cloud computing flexible, reliable, and usable. These technologies are listed below:     Virtualization.     Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).     Grid Computing.     Utility Computing. Virtualization: Virtualization is a technique, which allows to share single physical instance of an application or resource among multiple organizations or tenants (customers). It does this by assigning a logical name to a physical resource and providing a pointer to that physical resource when demanded. The Multitenant architecture offers virtual isolation among the multiple tenants. Hence, the organizations can use and customize their application as though they each have their instances running. Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Service-Oriented Architecture helps to use applications as a service for other applications regardless the type of vendor, p

Cloud Computing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

Cloud Computing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) IaaS architecture and how it works? In an IaaS model, a cloud provider hosts the infrastructure components traditionally present in an on-premises data center, including servers, storage and networking hardware, as well as the virtualization or hypervisor layer. The IaaS provider also supplies a range of services to accompany those infrastructure components. These can include detailed billing, monitoring, log access, security, load balancing and clustering, as well as storage resiliency, such as backup, replication and recovery. These services are increasingly policy-driven, enabling IaaS users to implement greater levels of automation and orchestration for important infrastructure tasks. For example, a user can implement policies to drive load balancing to maintain application availability and performance. IaaS customers access resources and services through a wide area network (WAN), such as the internet, and

Chipko Movement, a conservation initiative.

Today's 'Google Doodle' marks 45th anniversary of Chipko Movement, a conservation initiative. Today's 'Google Doodle' marks the 45th anniversary of the forest conservation initiative called the Chipko Movement. The goal of the Chipko Movement was to draw attention to and prevent deforestation, which had begun to occur on a mass scale to make way for dams or industry or roads. The movement began in 1973 in Uttar Pradesh, and was an initiative of Sunderlal Bahuguna, a renowned environmentalist. Today's 'Google Doodle' shows a group of women standing around a tree in a forest, their hands linked together, under the light if the moon. In fact, the whole movement was taken forward by women participants, who became a driving force in educating people on the deleterious effects of deforestation. The 1973 movement was inspired by a similar movement in 1730 AD in Rajasthan, says Google's writeup about the significance of the event

What is Python?

Image
What is Python? Python is an easy to learn, powerful programming language. It has efficient high-level data structures and a simple but effective approach to object-oriented programming. Python’s elegant syntax and dynamic typing, together with its interpreted nature, make it an ideal language for scripting and rapid application development in many areas on most platforms. The Python interpreter and the extensive standard library are freely available in source or binary form for all major platforms from the Python Web site, https://www.python.org/, and may be freely distributed. The same site also contains distributions of and pointers to many free third party Python modules, programs and tools, and additional documentation. The Python interpreter is easily extended with new functions and data types implemented in C or C++ (or other languages callable from C). Python is also suitable as an extension language for customizable applications. This tutorial introduces the reader

What is cloud computing and how does it work?

What is cloud computing and how does it work? Cloud computing – what is it? How does it work? The term “cloud” when talking about cloud computing, is not new – it is a metaphor for the Internet. In fact, cloud symbols are repeatedly used to depict the Internet on diagrams. If you think of the Internet as a virtual ‘space’ that connects users from all over the globe, it is like a cloud, sharing information by the way of networks. So, if we go back to the question of what is cloud computing, it refers to sharing resources, software, and information through a network, in this case, the Internet. Information and data is stored on physical or virtual servers, which are maintained and controlled by a cloud computing provider, such as Amazon and their AWS product. As a personal or business cloud computing user, you access your stored information on the ‘cloud’, via an Internet connection. What are the different types of cloud computing? Cloud computing can mean ma

Polish Town Cancels Ceremony With Israeli Mayor Over Mention of Poles Murdering Jews. The Radomsko municipality in Poland has canceled an annual ceremony involving a delegation from its sister city in Israel, Kiryat Bialik, because the Israeli mayor had planned to mention Jews who were murdered by Poles during the Holocaust in his speech. The Kiryat Bialik municipality announced the cancellation on Monday, and Radomsko Mayor Jaroslaw Ferenc confirmed Polish media reports about the cancellation. According to the Israeli city, Mayor Eli Dukorsky intended to speak at the ceremony as he does every year, but for the first time he was asked to submit the text of his speech to Radomsko officials in advance. Dukorsky planned to mention two cases of Jews murdered by Poles as well as instances of Polish Righteous Among the Nations who had saved Jews during the Holocaust. The Polish officials nixed the section of the address that dealt with the murder of the Jews. Dukorsky insisted o
